I've decided to fish for wipers every day until I don't catch a nice one. Hopefully I won't catch a nice one on Saturday, because on Saturday I'm leaving for the mountains, brook trout, and seven million barrels of porter and I don't want to be late for that.
Caught a lot of schoolies today, but my first fish was decent, so today counts. The 7wt TFO switch rod is an absolute canon. Overhead casting the entire fly line was not hard. I was unable, however, to execute any cool two handed casts. Though I like to think this is because I had my 10wt pike taper on. But it's probably because I don't know shit about cool two handed casts.
